Omugo Rebecca Tulituuka – Queen of Kooki

Omugo Rebecca Tulituuka is the Queen Consort of the Kooki Cultural Institution, married to Kamuswaga Apollo Sansa Kabumbuli II. Originally from Busoga, she became Omugo after their royal wedding at Namirembe Cathedral in Kampala — the first major royal wedding in Kooki in nearly a century.

As Queen, she plays a central role in cultural and community life. Omugo Rebecca is an advocate for women and children, championing campaigns against child marriage, teenage pregnancy, and gender-based violence. She works closely with community groups in Rakai to promote girls’ education, empower families, and encourage men and boys to take part in building safer communities.

Her leadership blends tradition with modern advocacy, making her a respected cultural figure and a voice for positive social change in Kooki and beyond.
